Te Whānau: We partner with learners and their whānau, with the right information, at the right time, through the right channels that enable them to make informed decisions about education.

Te Tangata: Irongate School learners are free from racism, discrimination and stigma in education at Irongate School. We will call it out.

Te Kanorautanga: We provide early and intensive support for learners when this is needed. Valuing the diverse learners we have the privilege of teaching.

Te Tuakiritanga: Identity, language and culture matter for our learners. We ensure the incorporation of identity, language and culture into the day-to-day practices in our classrooms so that learners can actively participate in te ao Māori, te ao Pasifika, Aotearoa and the wider world.

Te Rangatiratanga: Māori exercise their authority and agency in education at Irongate School. This means we partner with whānau, hapū, iwi to develop and lead kaupapa Māori pathways within our kāhui ako.

We work reciprocally with diverse Pacific communities to respond to unmet needs.
